September 01,2024 Family Of Faith Worship and Carey 1st Baptist came together in unity to celebrate the Baptism of eleven followers of Jesus Christ.

Those baptized were : George Salazar, Anthony Burkett, Mikel Goundie, Leylan Burkett, Delia Goundie, Daniel Davee, Dakota Santos,Brealynn Seal, Michell Delcruz and Rodger Delcruz.

We at Carey 1st want to thank Family Of Faith Worship for providing a meal to all attending this joyous occasion!!!
3rd Sunday Service
On August 18,2024 Carey 1st began our 3rd Sunday Servise at Cottage Village Living Center locate in Childress, TX.Pastor Travis Leamon delivered the message and his wife Mattie led the singing of hymns. There were at-least sixteen members from Carey 1st in attendance.

It was a joyful experience with lots of smiles and hugs from the Cottage Village residents. If you would like to truly experience the rewards that God gives to those who serve, here is your opportunity.
Join us on September 15, 2024 at 4:00 pm. We will continue to run the church van to provide transportation for anyone in need of a ride to attend.
Carey 1st Men’s Ministry
“Love God, Love People, Make Disciples “

What started as a one-on-one Discipleship over a year ago has evolved into a Disciple Training Ministry.

Some of the men at Carey 1st from ages youth to elderly have been meeting to pray together, to study God’s word and fellowship at 12:00 noon on Tuesdays. We are currently studying “No More Excuses “ and are meeting at the United Supermarket Deli.
We eat a meal and support the business that allows us to sit as a group and study. I have yet to see anyone go without eating for lack of money because there is always someone ready to pay for anyone low on cash. We want to extend aninvitation to any of you guys that want to be a part of this ministry.

      Operation Christmas Child

Sharing Good News and  Great Joy

Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse. It is a hands on-way for you to bless children in need across the world by filling shoeboxes with toys, personal care items,school supplies and fun gifts.

   The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world.

Through this project, Samaritan’s Purse partners with local churches world wide to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and make disciples of the nations.

Sharon and her team will be sharing an update and photos in the near future.

Aiden ‘s Baptism
Today June 30, 2024 Carey 1st was blessed to witness the baptism of Aiden. As a congregation we have seen Aiden grow in his faith and Love for Jesus. During youth camp he responded to the Lord’s call to accept him as his Lord and Savior. This young man met with Pastor Travis and Mattie Leamon and he was encouraged to weigh the cost of salvation. Even after counseling on what he is giving up to serve Jesus he surrender his life to Jesus. He acknowledged with his own mouth that he is a sinner, that he believed in his heart that Jesus is Lord and died for our sins, that God raised him from the dead. Today as he was raised from the water symbolizing death, burial and resurrection. Today Aiden is born again starting a new life, a journey with Jesus.
Aiden Carey 1st is here to encourage and support you along the way. May you build a relationship with Jesus in prayer and listening when he speaks to you through the Bible, his Holy inspired word. We love you and extend the offer be there anytime you need us….do not be afraid to ask because we have all been there and needed Discipling
Ricky’s Baptism 05-12-2024
What a joyous occasion, another soul saved ! Ricky made his confession of faith May 10,2024 to Pastor Travis Leamon in the presence of his grandfather. Ricky was baptized May 12, 2024 during the morning service. While it was not a planned event to take place on Mother’s Day what a wonderful gift of peace and joy his mother received knowing her son was saved. We can’t wait to see how God will use Ricky as a servant to our Lord and Savior.
Mother’s Day 2024
Happy Mothers Day !!!

Carey 1st honored all Mother’s represented by each person attending whether the honored mother was present or not. Each child was encourage to take a small gift that was provided by the church home and let Mom know how thankful they are for all she has done for them including the gift of life itself. The adults present were also encouraged to pick up a gift for there mother and any daughter that has children or will be a mother before next Mother’s Day.
There were two tables set up. One with gifts and one with a choice of fruits, pastries and finger foods. It was a blessed day praising God and recognizing the importance of Mother’s in every part of our lives. Thank you Mom’s for bringing your children or allowing them to worship God and give them the opportunity to study his word. There is nothing more important than your child’s salvation and you being a part of their spiritual journey.
Itsy’s Baptism
God has answered our prayers !!! Itsy accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior and as a public acknowledgment after her confession that Jesus is Lord and that she believes in her heart that God raised him from the dead, Itsy was baptized April 12,2024. We are looking forward to seeing how God plans you use her to his glory. Please let Itsy know that we are all so happy for her and want to encourage and support her throughout her spiritual growth and journey.
Blake and Jenna Bolerjack Concert
Carey 1st Baptist Church was so blessed last night April 12,2024 during the Blake and Jenna Bolerjack concert. The Holy Spirit filled the room. The music was amazing and so was the unity between Christian’s from various churches in and around the Childress area. We were blessed in fellowship with other believers from Childress, Paducah, Estelline and Memphis to name a few. During the concert one person was baptized as a public acknowledgment of their faith and dedication to serve our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We want to thank the Ladies of Carey 1st for preparing food to be enjoyed following the concert. Visitors are always welcome at Carey 1st so if you are searching for a church home we would like the opportunity to share the gospel and our love with you.
Madison Chase Apartments Block Party
Saturday March 16,2024 from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm
Carey 1st Baptist Youth Group and Adults will be hosting a “ Meet your Neighbor” block party to be located at the Madison Chase Apartments. There will be a bounce room for the enjoyment of the kids. Tables and seating for the adults to visit and get acquainted, popcorn, a meal and soft drinks.
Wednesday Nights
Carey 1st Baptist Church now serves a meal at 6:00 Pm on Wednesday nights followed by Bible Study for Kids Groups, Youth Group, and Adult Group made up of couples and Singles. You are invited to join in on a good meal, fellowship and to study Gods Word.
Blake and Jenna Bolerjack Concert
You are invited to come and listen to Blake and Jenna in concert Friday April 12th at 6:30 pm this will be a free admission event so a love offering will be taken up if you would like contribute. Bring your family and friends to share the blessings of Great music and fellowship. We serve an awesome God that has made this possible so Carey 1st Baptist wants to share his love and blessings. All the Glory goes to our Father in Heaven
Sophi Baptized January 28,2024
Pastor Travis is in hot water once again as he baptized Sophi on January 28, 2024

Sophi is one of the kids in Monique’s bible study group and continues to grow In knowledge, faith, an Love for God. May she always remember this special day to celebrate and recall as she has the opportunity to share her story of how God has changed her life.
Charlotte Baptism December 3, 2023
Charlotte accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior and was baptized December 3,2023.The Holy Spirit continues to touch the Hearts of the youth here at Carey 1st Baptist Church. All the glory goes to God !!! We praise him for all the blessings we as his Church receive each and every day. What a joyous occasion!
sbtc Regenesis
Churches across the country are plateaued or in decline and in need of revitalization. Our Pastor Travis Leamon and the leaders here at Carey 1st have formed a team to attend the sbtc Regenesis meetings once a month which is guiding churches toward Health and Renewal.

Our purpose is to evaluate our programs, management, and our Vision as a church in order to accomplish our Mission:

Forged by Fire
Pastor Travis and the men of Carey 1st Baptist Church will be kicking off the first of hopefully many men’s fellowship called Forged By Fire. Men, Fathers, sons, and young men from your youth groups are invited to sit around an open camp Fire. We are offering the opportunity to pray together, share your story if you feel led too, and sing a few praise songs. If you play an instrument bring it. We plan to have snacks, coffee, sodas and water.

Leighland’s Baptism
Leighland accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. He was baptized April 16,2023. The Holy Spirit continues to touch the hearts of all ages in our worship service and Sunday school classes at Carey 1st. We Love you, Leighland, and we are here to encourage and support you as you grow in serving our Lord Jesus Christ.
Carey1st Baptist Church Celebrate God answering Our prayers for a Pastor
We had a great sermon today in view of call by Travis Leamon. Travis and Mattie also shared their Testimony. Everybody there was blessed and Carey 1st Baptist Church voted to install Travis as Full time Pastor. We feel so blessed to have Travis, Mattie and their four children to be moving here after the school year is completed in Mobeetie. Thank you to everyone who was there and all the food, fun and fellowship enjoyed by all.
The Holy Spirit continues to move
Another youth was saved today March 26,2023 during worship service Glory be to God for these three young men that surrendered their lives to our Lord And Savior this month.

Billy’s Baptism
Billy made his confession March 8,2023 during the Carey 1st Revival and made his public declaration being Baptized Wednesday March 22,2023 in obedience of our Lord’s command. Billy and Ruston are in our prayers may God use them in a mighty way!
Two Youth were saved during Our Revival Ruston and Billy
Ruston accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior Tuesday evening and was Baptized Wednesday March 8, 2023 during our revival.

God truly heard my prayer at the altar Tuesday night and answered my prayer before I left the building. I was told he was talking to brother Randy Fair who was the revival pastor as I was leaving.

Billy accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior Wednesday Evening and will be Baptized next week.

Praise God for their Salvation.
Deacon Ordination
Carey 1st Baptist Church Ordained Bill Burba as a Deacon Sunday March 12,2023. Bill and his wife, Chylene are a blessing to our Church Family. Both love serving God, the Church, and every person God places in their lives daily. Pray for our Deacons and their wives that God will always guide and direct them as they meet the needs of others.
