God has answered our prayers !!! Itsy accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior and as a public acknowledgment after her confession that  Jesus is Lord and that she believes in her heart that God raised him from the dead,  Itsy was baptized April 12,2024. We are looking forward to seeing how God plans you use her to his glory. Please let Itsy know that we are all so happy for her and want  to encourage and support her throughout her spiritual growth and journey.

Carey 1st Baptist Church was so blessed last night April 12,2024 during the Blake and Jenna Bolerjack concert. The Holy Spirit filled the room. The music was amazing and so was the unity between Christian’s from various churches in and around the Childress area. We were blessed in fellowship with other believers from Childress, Paducah, Estelline and Memphis to name a few. During the concert one person was baptized as a public acknowledgment of their faith and dedication to serve our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We want to thank the Ladies of Carey 1st for preparing food to be enjoyed following the concert. Visitors are always welcome at Carey 1st so if you are searching for a church home we would like the opportunity to share the gospel and our love with you.

Carey 1st Baptist Youth Group and Adults will be hosting a “ Meet your Neighbor” block party to be located at the Madison Chase Apartments. There will be a bounce room for the enjoyment of the kids. Tables and seating for the adults to visit and get acquainted, popcorn, a meal and soft drinks. 

Carey 1st Baptist Church now serves a meal at 6:00 Pm on Wednesday nights followed by Bible Study for Kids Groups, Youth Group, and Adult Group made up of couples and Singles. You are invited to join in on a good meal, fellowship and to study Gods Word.

You are invited to come and  listen to Blake and Jenna in concert Friday April 12th at 6:30 pm this will be a free admission event so a love offering will be taken up if you would like contribute. Bring your family and friends to share the blessings of Great music and fellowship. We serve an awesome God that has made this possible so Carey 1st Baptist wants to share his love and blessings. Pastor Travis is in hot water once again as he baptized Sophi on January 28, 2024

Sophi is one of the kids in Monique’s bible study group and continues to grow In knowledge, faith, an Love for God. May she always remember this special day to celebrate and recall as she has the opportunity to share her story of how God has changed her life.

Charlotte accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior and was baptized December 3,2023.The Holy Spirit continues to touch the Hearts of the youth here at Carey 1st Baptist Church. All the glory goes to God !!! We praise him for all the blessings we as his Church receive each and every day. What a joyous occasion!

Churches across the country are plateaued or in decline and in need of revitalization.  Our Pastor Travis Leamon and the leaders here at Carey 1st have formed a team to attend the sbtc Regenesis meetings once a month which is guiding churches toward Health and Renewal.

Our purpose is to evaluate our programs, management, and our Vision as a church in order to accomplish our Mission:

Pastor Travis  and the men of Carey 1st Baptist Church will be kicking off the first of hopefully many men’s fellowship called Forged By Fire. Men, Fathers, sons, and young men from your youth groups are invited to sit around an open camp Fire. We are  offering the opportunity to pray together, share your story if you feel led too, and sing a few praise songs. If you play an instrument bring it. We plan to have snacks, coffee, sodas and water.

Pastor Travis baptized Shawn Parks, another member of our youth group this morning August 27,2023

We are looking forward to see the wonderful things that God has planned for Shawn in the Lord’s work. Shawn is in the military now and has the opportunity to share the gospel far and wide. May God bless and protect him throughout his journey…

Krista also made her public confession of faith and was baptized. I believe God has great plans to use Krista and the other two young ladies that were baptized this morning.

Pastor Travis Leamon baptized Nadine the first of three to be baptized this morning at 10:52 am August 20,2023 

it is such a blessing to have a youth group that wants to Love and obey God’s commands.

Leighland accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. He was baptized April 16,2023. The Holy Spirit continues to touch the hearts of all ages in our worship service and Sunday school classes at Carey 1st. We Love you, Leighland, and we are here to encourage and support you as you grow in serving our Lord Jesus Christ.

We had a great sermon today in view of call by Travis Leamon. Travis and Mattie also shared their Testimony. Everybody there was blessed and Carey 1st Baptist Church voted to install Travis as Full time Pastor. We feel so blessed to have Travis, Mattie and their four children to be moving here after the school year is completed in Mobeetie. Thank you to everyone who was there and all the food, fun and fellowship enjoyed by all.

    Another youth was saved today  March 26,2023 during worship service Glory be to God for these three young men that surrendered their lives to our Lord And Savior this month.

Billy made his confession March 8,2023 during the Carey 1st Revival and made his public declaration being Baptized Wednesday March 22,2023 in obedience of our Lord’s command. Billy and Ruston are in our prayers may God use them in a mighty way!

Ruston accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior Tuesday evening and was Baptized Wednesday March 8, 2023 during our revival.

God truly heard my prayer at the altar Tuesday night and answered my prayer before I left the building. I was told he was talking to brother Randy Fair who was the revival pastor as I was leaving.

Billy accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior Wednesday Evening and will be Baptized next week.

Praise God for their Salvation. 

Carey 1st Baptist Church Ordained Bill Burba as a Deacon Sunday March 12,2023. Bill and his wife, Chylene are a blessing to our Church Family. Both love serving God, the Church, and every person God places in their lives daily. Pray for our Deacons and their wives that God will always guide and direct them as they meet the needs of others.
